Senate OKs Horse Slaughter Amendment

Horse slaughter may soon be stopped:


The U.S. Senate Sept. 20 voted 68-29 in favor of an amendment to bar
federal funds from being used to facilitate horse slaughter.
The House
approved a companion amendment, which also keeps American horses from being
shipped abroad for slaughter, on June 8. Now, the two will go to a conference
committee.

  • YES! That makes me completely exstatic! Horse slaughter is wrong and i cant even find another word horrible enough to describe it.

    However, i have to look on the dark side. Arent these the people that just passed a law allowing wild horses to be shipped to the slaughter house?
    Sorry for that but it's the truth.
